Vietnamese Grocery Search

I came to America in the early ‘70’s, when I was very young lad, and settled in a small town in Colorado. At that time, the closest thing to Vietnamese food that I could find was a bottle of soy sauce, and my most favorite condiment was ketchup because it has the three main ingredients in Vietnamese taste: sour, sweet & salty, which are key in Vietnamese cuisine. I used ketchup on everything, even salad, causing many people to stare in surprise at me. Eventually, I acquired a taste for western cuisine, even though occasionally I tried to prepare Vietnamese dishes with available ingredient in the market, following my own recipes. Now day, you can find most of Vietnamese ingredient at local Asian markets. In this page, I intend to assist you in search of authentic Vietnamese grocery using Online Search Engines. Please share with other visitors and me your though, comments, suggestions, inputs, or any thing else to be included. Your comments may be written in Vietnamese or English http://www.xuvn.com/foodofvietnam/grocer%20search.htm.

In Panama City Florida there is Asia Market, Ocean Oriental Market and Mekong, all on US Business 98. Lots of canned and packaged foods and fresh -most grown locally- Thai and Vietnamese fruits and vegetables.

I am indeed delighted to note that the author is also a real fan of ketchup. I am of the habit of having ketchup with almost every food. Like the author I have also found people staring at me when I eat beef fry with ketchup. But I cannot help it because like the author I am addicted to ketchup. I am sure that this blog will be of immense help to Vietnamese. He has given a really comprehensive list of Vietnamese groceries and supermarkets.
